Da Commissar & da Queen's Latest Fleecing of Manalapan

Interesting how it is in da Kingdom that it takes a few meetings to spend millions of YOUR TAX DOLLARS on a piece of land that almost half of which cannot be built on - but when it comes to da Village, which could have implications of actually LOWERING YOUR TAX RATE, a few politicians decide it will take at least 7 years, if ever, to figure out what to do with that - and even then, it could wind up in court that YOU WOULD PAY FOR.

With that said, apparently da latest fleecing of Manalapan is taking place on February 25 at da next Manalapan Township meeting.

One of da ordinances up for bid that YOU DA TAXPAYER will be forced to pay for is in effect DOUBLE DA PRICE for what has become known as da Tillis Tract purchase, or da "Tillis Folly."

Now, please follow below this simple logic, and see if it makes sense to you:

Let's just say, for da sake of argument, you owned a 1.31 acre piece of land in da Kingdom of Manalapan that you wanted to sell, valued at da latest assessment at $238,800. It also had a huge estate on it, valued at da recent assessment at $515,500. According to New Jersey tax records, da home & hand were assessed at $753,300 for calendar year 2009.

Now, da "Queenly salesperson" says she wants to sell that property - ALMOST HALF OF WHICH has DEP issues and CANNOT be allowed to be built on - for, oh, lets say $5 million dollars. You, of course, hearing that reach for da nearest air sickness bag. However, da Queen, seeing you hurling chunks, says while twirling her mustache, that you can instead get that same property for, oh, lets say, $2 million dollars. Da "Queenly salesperson" then says to you, "Hey, c'mon, look at that savings - a $5 million piece of property for $2 million? That's a bargain
!"

Or is it?

Ten years ago, a company called Providence Corporation paid $450,000 for a 25-acre tract of land in da Kingdom of Manalapan - and get this --- 40% of that land is wetlands and cannot be built on or touched! Providence Corp told Manalapan's political elite they want $2.5 million for the property, which includes all those wetlands that can't be touched.

Doesn't that sound familiar?

Both sides could not agree on a price.

Doesn't that sound familiar?

They go to court.

Doesn't that sound familiar?

Former Mayor da Queen says that Providence Corp wants $2.5 million for the property, so at $1.5 million, you da peasants of Manalapan are getting a good deal at $1.5 million!

Of course, this raises some pretty interesting questions.....

QUESTION 1: At da most recent assessment, da land that da Queen and her Gang of Three want to buy with your money was assessed at exactly $864,000. Why are some members of da Commissar's Politburo willing to PAY DOUBLE what that land is worth?

QUESTION 2: Is there any plan in place on how to utilize that land after it is bought for double da assessment price with YOUR TAX DOLLARS?

QUESTION 3: Is this a worthwhile endeavor during what has become da worst recession since da Great Depression, and with New Jersey's budget problems on da state level getting worse?

QUESTION 4: What is da real reason for this land grab?

Well, since you can expect not one of these answers getting answered by da Gang of Three at da next meeting, let's put our "Grand High Exalted Mystic Ruler of da Kingdom" hats on and take a crack at them.

ANSWER 1: When you look deep at this deal, there is a "Lynch" connection in there somewhere. Having a "Lynch" connection in any deal is like yelling "He's Wearing a Wire" in a political organization back room. It sounds cool, but it could be a very real & serious problem. However, this question is best answered in Question 4.

ANSWER 2: Da Gang of Three has proposed a number of plans, from a "Tennis Bubble," to houses, to just leaving the space open. Finally, it appears that da 25-acre piece of land, in which only 14 acres is actually usable, may be used for "Rec Center Expansion." Ironically, in da past few years, da Rec has already been expanded, using da land along Route 522 for building da now-infamous "Field of Nightmares" crumb-rubber field - da same type that New York City wants banned, Connecticut and other states are severely questioning, and some countries said "no way" to for health reasons.

ANSWER 3: Hmmmm, lets see. Spend millions of dollars on a project with no plan, when credit is tight, and home foreclosures are rising, and municipal taxes in Manalapan have soared 42% in just 2 years, and da current state budget has nearly a $3 BILLION deficit, and higher taxes and less money to municipalities has already been proposed, and no end in sight, and even pundits are saying da worst is yet to come? I guess if you're a Gang of Three member, put this all together, and da timing couldn't be better!

ANSWER 4: DaTruth. Ask yourself this question - "Why would you pay double for what something is worth, putting yourself deeper into debt, and have no plan to use that something once you purchase it?" If you can answer that question, without being unethical, criminal, or just plain in need of mental evaluation, then you deserve a chance of being on da Manalapan Township Committee. This is something NOBODY can figure out using ethical standards, moral values, an abacus, or a Ouija board. Will Manalapan face a lawsuit if they don't pay? Yes, but that situation has happened before, or should daTruthSquad dare to say, is still happening, as a part of da Mosked Man's "Land-deal-gone-bad-First Amendment lawsuit."

DaTruth is, no matter how much anyone protests, da final vote will be 4-0 with 1 abstention - and that is a daTruthSquad guarantee.

Da bigger question is this - before da vote, demand exactly what da Gang of Three plan on doing with this land. Don't be too surprised if da answer is, "We don't know." If da answer is, "Expand Manalapan Rec," then ask if da Gang of Three's master plan is to expand Manalapan Rec so there is only a park where Manalapan once was, because while a park is nice to have, having no infrastructure with da park is like building a gas station and not budgeting space or money for gas pumps. Manalapan has one of da least business bases in da entire state, meaning you pay more and neighbors in Monroe, Old Bridge, and Freehold get more bang for their municipal tax dollars than you da Manalapan peasants do.

Oh, and by da way, wouldn't "expanding a park" look real good on some "I'm running for political office" election brochure?

Could that be YOUR TAX MONEY at work?

Apparently that's OK for folks like da Gang of Three, who get free health benefits and refuse to part with them despite all having white collar jobs. Being a peasant, that shouldn't be OK with you. Demand accountability from da Gang of Three. Just don't expect to get any.

And that's daTruth.

More lies. More crap. The law suit had to be settled. One side wanted 2.5 million. The town wanted to spend 800,000. they met in the middle at 1.5 million. Why is that so hard to understand?
As for the alleged Lynch connection, it doesn't even deserve a response. It is irrelevent, like this blog.

the lawsuit didn't have to get settled and in fact hasn't been settled. If they didn't settle the lawsuit, the court would have to rule on what the property was worth. We wouldn't have to buy it even then. All we would have to do is let them build according to whatever the court says is permitted on the land. Either the downzoning would hold and the lawsuit would be dismissed or the Lynch mob would win and be allowed to build more homes. So what? And if they are sooooo sure they can't win this lawsuit, why did the democrats push the downzoning over public protest in 2002 to begin with? In other words, every seven years or so the democrats admit everything they did seven years ago was wrong, just like the public said at the time. Maybe seven years from now, the democrats will admit that buying this property is downright dumb. Just remember, by the way, that Michelle Roth, the person pushing for this, was also on the planning board in 2002 pushing hard to pass the downzoning that started this lawsuit to begin with.

I like how the first comment says that paying twice the value of a property to a convicted felon is somehow irrelevant. LOL. Yeh ok.

Anonymous said...

OK, let me get this straight. Paying 2x the price for something is not relevant. Having any type of connection to a convicted felon is not relevant. Taxpayers getting shafted isn't relevant either.

Now I'm really glad I live in Freehold.

BTW, whoever wrote the very first comment is a moron.

I wouldn't expect this kind of detail on something so important in the transcript. Thanks for giving your readers the truth to digest for ourselves. My taxes have gone through the roof over the last 2 years, and I fully expect to have them go even higher now after reading this.

We don't need any more park land. We have more than enough with no real infrastructure to show for it. My kids like the water setup in Colts Neck's park, and the one in Jackson is nicer too. These self-serving politicians are just out for themselves.

Just because you have repeated that there is a Lynch connection over and over and over again does not make it true. Show me the Lynch connection to Klauber, Holland, Roth and Lucas. I'm waiting.

Anonymous said...

Roth received tens of thousands of dollars from Lynch. Lynch has serious financial influence over Monmouth County Democrats and controls the manalapan democratic party through its municipal chairman. Klauber Holland and Roth are Monmouth County Democrats. Lucas is completely under the control of the Manalapan democratic party even though he masquerades as a republican. He masquerades as a heterosexual married man, too.

Anonymous said...

and you masquerade as a lawyer?

Anonymous said...

Roth did not receive one penny from Lynch. This is a lie. Lynch is in jail. He controls nothing. None of the people mentioned have eveR met Lynch, much less taken any money from him. Lucas is not gay. Any more lies you which to repeat again Mr. Goebels?

And please don't tell me that this has been documented time after time. It has not. There is not one iota of concrete evidence. Your dubious attempts at connecting A to B are ridiculous. Take a logic course or something.

Lying about Michelle receiving money and attacking Stu (your obsession really makes you look like a nitwit) isn't going to change the facts. Anyone can go to the New Jersey Elec site and see that Michelle has taken thousands of dollars from John Lynch's PAC, New Directions Through Leadership. Not only were campaign funds given to her and her cronies directly, but through Union County and Monmouth County. Yeh, they were laundered in so you could deny they ever received them. Look Larry, you're not fooling anyone. Denying the truth isn't going to work. There's too much of a record. Blaming someone who hasn't been involved in Manalapan politics and claiming he's "posting" is just getting absurd at this point. Why don't you spend your time doing what you do best, exploiting Africans. There must be one somewhere you haven't gotten blood money off of.

I think the funniest comment I've read here is the one that says Lucas is not gay. Isn't this the same guy who claims he was living with his mom and only visiting his wife? Isn't this the same guy being protected along with his municipal chairman by someone very high up in Monmouth County politics who is also known to be gay?

Uno, dos, tres. You're right about not being able to change the facts. No matter how much you lie, you can't and won't change the facts. 3. YOU attack the people listed in item two, on a daily basis

4. You are attacked in kind by me, a resident of Manalapan who can't stand cowardly prick$ like you, who disparage good people under a cloak of anonymity.

5. When I invoke the name Stu it sends you into a frenzy. You don't even know which Stu I am talking about. Given that you assume it's the Stu you know, well then, there must be a reason you think I am talking about him.

1. If as you say this suit "had to be settled," then isn'tthat just like the other land case that is now clogging the cour with Moskovitz? Didn't they just have to settle that too?

2. Why didn't the town stand on the assessed value? Woul you pay over double for a house above the assessed value?

3. I think any connection, even slight, to a convicted felon is not irrelevent. And I'm sure I'm not alone unless you've accepted donations from that felon.

4. I checked this blog site out. The last few postings have 100 or more comments each. That's not irrelevent. If it is, then what's the word you'd use to describe the Transcript, which probably has less readers than this blog does?

Manalapan, New Jersey -- February 28, 2009 -- APP -- Tragedy hit Manalapan today as three and possible four members of the Township Committee were discovered to be suffering from serious medical conditions after Wednesday's Township meeting.
Newly appointed Mayor Rick Klauber, was hopitalized with severe exhaustion Friday. The Mayor had no comment about his condition but sources report that this came about soon after politely addressing a resident at Wednesday's meeting who could not or would not stick to the topic at hand. Klauber, known for his patience, may also be suffering from ulcers, as he continues to internalize his feelings during township meetings.
Former Mayor Michelle Roth has injured her spleen and two other major organs trying to keep from laughing at the same resident that was said to trigger the Klauber sickness. Doctors say that continuing to supress laughter can be hazardous to ones health and is no laughing matter.
Former Mayor Andrew Lucas fared the worst as he reportedly tried to take his own life after the meeting. Saying, "I can't take these idiots anymore," he allegedly tried to bore himself to death by reading old rantings by the Truth Squad.
Don Holland said he was unaffected by the Wednesday meeting saying that he was a former Marine and that this was nothing compared to what he has been through. He did check himself into Center State Hospital just to make sure, however.
Committewoman Susan Cohen saw nothing wrong with Wednesday's meeting and said she is looking foward to the next gathering.

3889. VILLAGE MALL
by bradberger, 2/28/09 8:06 ET
A faulty and incomplete traffic study was submitted and discussed at the Planning Board meeting Feb 26 regarding the proposed Village Mall. This study did not include the communities and area South of Whitlock where Millhurst Road becomes 2 lanes up to Rt 3 that is also referred to as part of Tennent Rd. There are approximately 1500 people having to turn into and out of their communities on a daily basis from Millhurst and they must cross over one of the lanes to make their turn. As people living in this area know it is already difficult to make these turns safely. The Planning Board elected representatives the Mayor and Michelle Roth were asked to call for a further study of this area since the volume of traffic including buses will be greatly increased by the construction of the Village Mall. The safety of both adults and children will be jeopardized by this increased volume of traffic that will make turns even more difficult and dangerous to the over 1500 residents of the communities on this part of Millhurst Road. The elected officials are responsible for the safety of our community. It will be too late and sorry won't help if someone is severely injured or killed because the further traffic study was not insisted upon by the Mayor and other elected officials. This is very serious and the elected officials along with the professionals hired and paid for by the town must call for the further traffic study now.

March 4, Manalapan, NJ --- APP-- Bulletin.......Renegade GOP candidate for the Manalapan Township Committee, Kalman (Butch) Budai revealed his platform today for saving $1 million dollars towards balancing the budget. In response to Democratic complaints that "all he does is complain but never has any suggestions", Butch distributed a one page press release, spelling out specifically how he would cut Manalapan's budget by one million dollars.
Mr. Budai suggested first that he would sell the $500,000 truck that he believes the town purchased last year. Next, Mr. Budai suggested that next year the month of February be elimnated from the calendar, thereby saving $500,000 in salary payouts.
"February is our shortest month, " said Budai. We won't miss it. By getting rid of the month, we can also cut down on snow removal costs."
There was no comment from the Manalapan Township Commitee except from Mr. Cohen who said she looked foward to the next Township Committee meeting.
In a related story, all Committee members are reported to have recovered from their illnesses last week, though Mr. Lucas said he was "woozy" after a suicide attempt whereby he tried to bore himself ot death by reading three years worth of Da Truth Squad blogss.

I think Kathy writing Asbury Park Press on her story is the real hoot. She really does wish she worked for a real newspaper - not like that will ever happen.

Remember when The Fraud called Puharik Poo Poo. Wasn't that clever? Now he/she/it has a headline on February 17th about Porky Poo-Poo refering to Mayor Spodak. What wit. What charm. What intelligence.

Poo Poo. I think that stopped being funny in 1st grade.

about the same time Kathy learned everything she knows about journalism and andy learned who he really was. Should the fact that andy is confused about whether he's a republican or democrat surprise anyone? Andy is confused about a lot of who he really is.

I'm just a lowly Manalapan resident and I certainly don't know who any of you are but after reading these comments, I think you all need a time out. I don't see how all this back and forth, posting hateful commentary is helpful to anyone coming to this site for useful information. Please stop - enough already.
