Manalapan Police Phones Turned Off -- AGAIN!

It was a month ago when decorated Manalapan Police Chief Stuart Brown was brought before da Manalapan Inquisition, having to give his explaination as to his actions in "Verizon-Gate." Both da Queen and her sergeant-at-arms, Cash Klauber thundered away at Brown, even as both his legal rep and da rep for Manalapan alluded things were going too far.

Then, they brought in da rep for Verizon. Da only thing da Gang of Three didn't do was offer him a glass of wine and appetizers. They could not have been nicer to da person representing da company that shut off their police department phones, but da person who went after da people who turned off da phones was himself da target of da Gang of Three.

Verizon PROMISED they'd take steps to insure it would never happen again.

Britany Spears must be running this phone company, because OOPS - THEY DID IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

Da local Snoozepaper reports that INDEED - IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN!!!!!!

On July 19, after Verizon had it's "coffee & cake" with da Manalapan Township Committee, phone service was cut off to da manalapan Police Department for da 2nd time in 2 months!

This time, service was knocked out for an even longer time than da first outage. While 911 service was unaffected, da main phone number to Manalapan's police who serve 37,000 residents was not working!

Da good news, according to da Snoozepaper report is that your Manalapan Township Committee is on da job. Da story in da Snoozepaper said Manalapan officials were "irked." When daTruthSquad is irked, it's because of silly things like da local Snoozepaper being tossed on a wet lawn, or having to wait 30 minutes because of da Woodward Road closure.

Note to da Manalapan Township Committee: When your police department's phones are turned off for da 2nd time, this coming after a Verizon promise days prior that it would never happen again, and 37,000 people for da 2nd time in 2 months were put at life-and-death risk and in harm's way - it should do more than just "irk" you!

It reports that alleged Manalapan/and or Freehold resident Committeeman Andy Boy asked da Queen Mayor "that Verizon adjust the bill so that Manalapan is given some credit for the time the telephone service was down."

Da Queen mayor got da rep from Verizon to promise "that Verizon would implement failsafe measures such as an alarm that would sound if the telephone lines were to go down."

At least someone had a little fight in their response. Chief Brown told da Snoozepaper, "“While I understand the issues they face, it doesn’t make it OK. It’s unacceptable that this occurred not once, but twice to a police department.”

As for Manalapan's residents, 37,000 people were put at risk again -- FOR DA SECOND TIME IN 2 MONTHS -- because Verizon shut down phone service.

How will da Manalapan Township Committee handle this now?

Will they invite da Verizon rep for tea & crumpets?

Will they blame Chief Brown?

Obviously there is a serious problem here. Cutting da phones to Andy Boy' house is one thing. Cutting da lines to a pizzaria is one thing. Cutting da phone lines to a police department serving 37,000 residents is a one-time event that should absolutely, positively NEVER happen --- AND IT'S NOW HAPPENED TWICE IN 2 MONTHS!

Manalapan should demand an investigation by da Board of Public Utilities - and demand penalties for allowing this to happen again.

Manalapan should also put Chief Brown in charge of their case, because unlike da Gang of Three, Chief Brown won't be asking softball questions, he won't be singing Verizon's praises, and he won't be serving cappuchino and croissants.

DaTruth is, Manalapan should also haul da Verizon rep - and his boss - and his boss into Town Hall, and they should be asked questions. However this time, one of those asking da questions should be Chief Stuart Brown, because after what he was put through by da Gang of Three, he has 7 deserves da right to ask da questions to Verizon!

It's very fortunate that nobody was hurt or died because phone lines to da local police department were cut off -- FOR DA SECOND TIME! If anything, it also shows that leadership and concerns of da Manalapan Township Committee was completely ignored. That was wrong, and Verizon must be held accountable. Manalapan deserves more than to have Verizon simply "adjust a bill." Da town of 37,000 residents, all put at risk because of Verizon's 2nd police phone outage in 2 months deserve much more.

And that's daTruth!

One thing that has bothered me since the first incident and the TC questioning is why was it the Chief's job to contact and follow-up with the BPU? Why wouldn't the Township Admninstrator be the one to deal with Verizon and the BPU and let the Police deal with their normal police work?

...If you watched the meeting, Chief Brown called the Administrator and told her that HE WANTED to call Verizon, and the Administrator agreed. Move on.

As to the second cutoff, this is an issue that will be addressed on the State level through the Board of Public Utilities (BPU). Don't blame our Township Committee members for Verizon's incompetance.

Hauling the Verizon rep into Town Hall to answer to people is a cheap political stunt. So appropriate for Da Lack of Truth people to suggest this. A more appropriate step is for complaints to be filed with our legislatures and the agencies that regulate Verizon to ensure that they are fined and that safeguards are put in place so this doesn't happen again.

IF YOU REMEMBER, IT WAS THE TC THAT BROUGHT CHIEF BROWN IN FOR HIS INTERROGATION, AND AS THE SQUAD SO APTLY SAID, BROUGHT VERIZON IN FOR COFFEE.

VERIZON PROMISED THAT STEPS WERE IN PLACE TO INSURE IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. MUCH LIKE THE GANG OF THREE, A PROMISE MEANS NOTHING.

Chief Brown CHOSE to have his meeting with the TC made public. As for Verizon, read the APP article. mayor Roth wants Verizon to install "alarms and a backup system at company expense".

Chief Brown received a rice notice to appear. Thank God he held it in public, otherwise it would have been behind closed doors where Roth and her hatchet boy Klauber would have had free reign to treat the Chief worse than they did in public. Roth, and Klauber were furious the Chief excercised his right to a public meeting. They had to temper their remarks since they had a camera rolling. Roth has some reputation and the truth about her secret antics will be front page news. Roth is spending tax payer money like crazy and now wants the Tillis piece, a piece she cannot build anything on due to the fact she has only 3 votes and she needed 4 for to go to bond. Roth is hiding behind the court is forcing me to do it. Just like she said about the KHOV homes on Woodward, the court made me. Roth thinks that COhen made up the story about the NJ Elec reports and the Lynch connection to the Providence Corp. The APP said it today the Elec reports show this. Facts that Roth still ignores. Why is that?. Will this truth bury Roth's political career? Time will tell.

Roth will soon find out that the party is over.

Roth is spending taxpayers money like an addict. Let the lawsuit ride itself out on the Tillis property. Worst case scenrio 8 more homes, best 4. Besides the tax revenue from those homes is more than the 8K Lucas claimed at the July 16th meeting and we the taxpayers would not be taxed to death again to cover this poltical purchase. How many Rec Fields does Roth need anyhow? We have enough and she has to go, she talks fiscal responsibility. Really 1.4 million dollars on land worth 806K? We have a budget that was passed that cannot regenerate 700K fo the money being spent and she is spending our money wildly. Roth stop hiding behind saving open space. Roth has been found out, this deal is a politcal payback to the Lynch crowd and the proof is the elec forms. Roth and Shapiro are stalling the Village at Manalapan clearing the way for the Lynch Village project in Monroe to get built first. Roth has been exposed and her true colors have been shown. Thank you to Aleisha Williams and the Asbury Park Press for letting us the victims know what Roth is really up to. The truth it gets them every time.

OK, where the heck is that "alarms and backup" Verizon promised her in exchange for the coffee? Did she fall asleep again?

Well the proof is in the pudding. Read todays Asbury Park Press story on 3 local Girl Scouts who generously decided to donate their time and money to fix the deteriorating and neglected exterior garden of our Manalapan Senior Center. These girls created a beautiful zen garden and art wall. The article describes the poor neglected condition the garden has been in and that these young woman turned the garden into a beautiful place for our seniors to enjoy allowing them to utilize the outside garden in nice weather. Thank you to these young ladies.

As for Michelle Roth you are a disgrace to this town. Your own running mate's wife, the lovely Mrs. Wanda Holland was quoted as saying that she would like to see brick pavers laid in the garden as well so that wheel chair bound seniors can enjoy this new space. Isn't this Senior Facility supposed to be able and ready to handle Americans with Disabilites Mrs. Roth? While you are off Michelle spending our money on questionable politcal land deals and over extending us with your purchasing of sports fields you have ignored/neglected the needs of our Seniors. A town like Manalapan having to rely on the generosity and volunteerism of others to fix a deteriorating and neglected senior garden is a disgrace and an embarassment. Michelle Roth is no friend to the senior citizens of this town.

Where are Green and Garcia? This could be political hay and they are MIA. Well what do you expect from Garcia. After all he thought getting the township committee job would allow him to quit his NYC job.

As fo Green, his claim to fame is running for school board and township committee at the same time. He will sell out someone this year!

Roth has nothing to fear!

And that's exactly the way Andy Boy Lucas and his handler Steve McEnery want it.

The residents of Belmar and Manalapan have a common denominator, Mayors who have been embroiled in scandal over derogatory remarks about Italian Americans.

Mayor Pringle is in hot water over his term "guido's" Mayor Roth of Manalapan was embroiled in her husbands infamous "I hate Italians " quote 2 years ago where she caused near riots in Manalapan by failing to apology to the public for weeks until the media ascended upon the town. Even though there is a proclamation hanging now in town hall denouncing such behavior, Roth has remained silent on Pringles remarks. You would think that Mayor Michelle Roth would have spoken out about how unhappy she was with her fellow Democratic Mayor of Belmar Jeff Pringle, having known first hand what a remark like that could do to his town's residents, let alone your politcal career but she has once again kept silent. It seems Mayor Roth has not learned her lesson of 2 years past. Her erry silence screams at me to question does Mayor Michelle Roth think that Belmar Mayor Pringles remarks were acceptable? I think Italian Americans of Manalapan have the very right to ask that question from such a controversial politician as Mayor Michelle Roth. We can never forget what she did to us as Italian Americans nor can we tolerate her silence.

Should Roth's new campaign slogan for her campaign read: Jeff Pringle and Michelle Roth-Perfect Together,Democrats Against Italian Americans?

WE CAN NEVER FORGET!!

Now that the representative from Verizon took responsibility for the matter, are you going to apologize for your attack on the TC?

This is why intelligent people don't get their news from an ad journal. Once again the Asbury Park Press scooped the News Transcript. Once again the Asbury Park Press covered the real story while the News Transcript was busy with meaningless garbage. Once again Greg Bean overdosed on whatever it is he's taking and, instead of admitting his newspaper dropped the ball, wrote a scathing attack on the person who dared tell the truth to the Asbury Park Press while his reporter was printing Michelle Roth's press releases. Week after week, the APP has printed the facts, while week after week Greg Bean's honey, Kathy Baratta prints articles so unprofessional and so insane they have us all rolling on the floor laughing. Maybe if the News Transcript hired a reporter who was actually educated, they could get the story straight. Wouldn't that be more professional that berating the only public servant with the guts to tell the truth about the connection between convicted felon John Lynch and Michelle Roth's Tillis folly, albeit to the APP rather than his rag? Maybe if Kathy Baratta took time off from stalking Stu Moskovitz like a bloated paparazzi on amphetamines, she'd have time to actually write a story worth reading, you know, with actual facts in it so that Greg Bean wouldn't have to cover up her lack of ability by attacking everyone else. The News Transcript - "All the news that's fit, we skip"

the last comment was posted on NJ.COM last night, but was removed by Greg Bean. How's that for freedom of the press. To Greg Bean, freedom of the press means he's free to attack anyone he wants, but if anyone else writes anything about him, it gets deleted. That's why he works for an ad journal.

Changing TIme Too

Whoever wrote the editorial needs to remember this. Documentation and investigation is pivotol to having credibility. Did the News Transcript review the douments on ELEC? Perhaps Mrs. Cohen did not speak of this matter as she herself had not seen the doumentation until after the meeting? Due diligence is imperative when making such a remark about political wheeling and campaigning. I am disappointed in the Transcript for their attack on Mrs. Cohen and Alesiha Williams of the APP. So the real qustion that needs to be answered by the Transcript editor is this? Are YOU okay that the land has a history to John Lynch or that there were political contributions to local Manalapan officals campaigns made through this politcal pac?? I hope their answer is no as they have been quite vocal in the past about local campaign financing. Are wewitnessing a double standard by the Transcript?. I hope not.

I just read the editorial about Susan Cohen in daSnooze. Lets face it Rosman you have this obsession with being better than the Asbury Park Press. You have to beat them to a scope. Your reporter reported the story the way da Gang of 3 wanted it reported which was in direct contrast to the way the APP reported it. APP went further and investigated. That is why their reporter reported it in an impartial way. They reported facts. But lets face it, daSnooze largest revenues are from the Dems. It isn't any different than reporting on Nikki's campaign from 2006 recently but not reporting on the Dems not filing reports for the same year. I question why Rosman hasn't questioned all the contributions made by CME to the Dems and to Lynch!

this was on NJ.COM. You can bet your life it won't be there long:

Early on as superintendent, Wasser was found to have used school board contractors and materials for his own use, including fixing up his mother's kitchen and getting his car fixed for free. The Attorney General was looking into it and the investigation was quashed by Senator Doria, a relative of Wasser's. This was all covered by the APP, not the News Transcript, of course, since it was news, not gossip and the Democrats never gave Kathy Baratta a press release on it. Senator Doria is not the Commissioner of DCA. How long do you think it will take for Doria to end this investigation. In 49 states, that's called obstruction of justice. In NJ, it's called Blue State business as usual.

Anonymous said...

that should be Senator Doria is "now" the Commissioner of DCA, not "not" the Commissioner

daSnooze wasn't even at the Wasser meeting Monday night. daFacts are that the prosecutors office has issued subpoenas for the records. I don't understand why? They should have just checked with Kathy Barratta or Mark Rosman. They would have found out that this was a non-starter.

Anonymous said...

maybe we can get the prosecutor's office to have Stu Moskovitz get involved with the case. That way Kathy Baratta will cover the story. She's probably outside his office now banging on the door screaming, "I want a story, I want a story. At least tell me where you went for lunch today."
