A Hero Among Us

There are those who have taken both verbal and written shots at officers of da Manalapan Police Department. However, for all their hemming and hawing, all their baseless accusations, all their exaggerations about Police Chief Stuart Brown, DA one thing you cannot defer is that he is da leader of a great police department.

Last Thursday, one of his police officers saw a house on fire. Patrolman Peter Curran jumped out of his police car, and alerted the homeowner whose house was on fire, and his neighbor after that home also caught fire. Officer Curran's fast action saved the lives of 11 people, including an infant between those two houses.

Now, why is daTruthSquad talking about this?

Last year, da Queen of Manalapanistan decided, in what had all the appearances of a desperate plea to gather votes for her very failed bid for state office, made so many outrageous and seemingly preposterous claims about Chief Brown that a lawsuit for defamation brought by da Chief has since ensued. We also found out that according to da Queen, da Chief, unbeknownst to him, was under investigation for a number of instances of alleged wrongdoing, specifically against women. Of course, that was four months ago, and since then, there has not been even one word about that "investigation," and, by da way, it would be illegal to perform that investigation because da Chief was never notified he was being investigated, either orally, written, telepathically or using smoke signals, which is a violation of law, which could put Manalapan in even bigger trouble.

Da Queen's actions not only tarnished da Chief, but all da officers he commands. Because of her actions, da reputation of da Manalapan Police department remains a question mark, and what could be a long and drawn out lawsuit is now underway, launched by da Chief and handled by his attorney.

Da reason we are talking about Patrolman Curran's courageous act, is because of both his courage and also to show how important da Manalapan Police Department is, from da top down. You cannot mistake what Patrolman Curran did. He not only did his job, he save lives of men, women and children and is a true hero. Da Manalapan Township Committee should give Curran a proclamation at da very next meeting, highlighting his valor and commitment to his job, and Chief Brown should be standing at his side.

Anything less, would be a slap in da face to Patrolman Curran, da Manalapan Police Department, and officers anywhere.

It's time da Manalapan Township Committee's Gang of Three show that their police department is da very best in da county and state, and proudly give da police officers da praise they truly deserve. Patrolman Curran didn't just save one life - he saved 11 Manalapan residents, and for his actions, a proclamation is da very least da Manalapan Township Committee can do.

From daTruthSquad, thank you Patrolman Curran for your heroic act, and for serving da residents of Manalapan with honor and distinction, and for Manalapan's volunteer fire department for getting there to save those homes.

Their courage and sacrifice - that is what makes Manalapan great. And that's daTruth.

Well said Squad.

I doubt you'll see the Queen of Mean make a proclamation like that, considering all she's done to tear dow nthe police in the last year. But it is a great idea and should be done ASAP.

who cares what roth thinks.shes not the mayor.i would hope MAYOR lucas will take the lead.

to be honest,i was not a fan of andy lucas, but after watching him at the re-org,it seems as if he has enough experience to stay true to whats right.I will begin the year in support of him.

i also believe between susan cohen, andy and ryan green, the citizens of manalapan will finally come first.

what does the heroism of ptl. curran have to do with the chief using you to baselessly seu the town? what a shock it would have been if you just saluted the officer without taking a low-road political swipe.

This may be the first time in years I actually have some faith in the Manalapan township committee. Although I'm very suspect of Andy, the fact Susan Cohen and Ryan are there together means there's two votes for the people of Manalapan and checks and balances. Now if Andy sides wit hthe Queen, it will show his true colors.

I also agree with the DTS. Officer Curran deserves a proclamation and a hreo's welcome.

I disagree with the post about this being political. What Chief Brown has done in Manalapan for the past 30 years has been nothing short of miraculous as a police officer and as chief. It's his leadership that helps bring out the best in his officers. He should be there with Patrolman Curran who deserves all the praise in the world for what he did.

And, this foolish and egotistic attacks against Chief Brown by Roth and her minions must end before this gets worse.

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over the ridiculous poster making his ten thousandth posting claiming incorrectly that he knows who datruthsquad is. Remember, the four or five trolls who are spending all day posting and attacking datruthsquad and the attorney keeping everyone honest all share several things in common. They are all despised by the public; they are all out of work; they couldn't get elected to save their lives; they all put their own personal financial interests above the interests of the public. Frankly, just read what they write and be PROUD if they happen to be against you. It's like being on Nixon's Dean's List.

That's a good point. George Spodak, Fred Stone, Gerry Ward, Larry Roth. Not one of them has served the public in any capacity in the past ten years. Gerry's "contribution" is to have sued the Township three times (isn't he the one complaining about someone else suing the townshi?). He lost all three. One of those losses is a beautiful little house built right behind his. Not one of them is gainfully employed (Larry is trying to prop up a failing business, so at least he sort of has a job; Fred wants you to believe he is still an active securities attorney, but we know better -- he sits in his cubicle in New York all day living out the life of Walter Mitty). George hasn't lifted a finger to do anything for the public good in nearly thirty years. At this point, he is simply a wind up doll. His puppeteer winds him up sends him to township committee meetings and sits back laughing at him. So, yeh, I don't think their opinion is anything to get all worked up about.

Kudos to the Manalapan Police Department and Officer Curran.

Squad, how did you know the fix was in and Lucas would become mayor? You really must have some embedded sources. I believe you when you said Roth would be the deputy mayor. I think they changed their minds at the last minute so it wouldn't seem like the Gang of three was up to no good.

Thanks for keeping us informed.

Nice blog Truth. The police deserve our praise, not allegations of threatening women like Roth claims.

Kudos to Deputy Mayor Susan Cohen for being the only township official who publically thanked Officer Pete Curran for his bravery and heroic actions in saving 11 people on Fawn Run in her speech on re-org day.

NO one else thanked him. She did!

Speaks volumes to the character of an individual who appreciates others and the importance of publically saying thank you.

Yeah, no let's make it off-limits to ever criticise the police or any member of the force for anything, because to do so would implicitly be a repudiation of Ptl. Curran's heroism. Love your logic, as usual, Squad. Ph.D. from the university of Hypocrisy.

To hear that only ONE member of the Manalapan Township Committee actually thanked the Manalapan cop for saving 11 people from two burning buildings is astounding.

THIS MAN IS A HERO!!!!! How dare these pathetic losers not stand up and thank Officer Curran for his heroism is beyond me. I agree with the blog - this man deserves not only a proclamation and to be recognized for his heroic act, but he deserves a promotion too.

Roth, Lucas, Green, Holland, YOU SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!

The fact that Susan Cohen was the only member of the committee who even thanked Patrolman Curran for his courage shows just how low these people are. It also tells me that the other four LUCAS ROTH HOLLAND GREEN must have something against the police department.

At least Klauber is out of there. This year Lucas is up for election, and it will be his turn to lose the trust of the voters - especially if he doesn't support the police.

people...people....calm down, it was a re-org day,i think it was great susan cohen thanked officer curran, but im sure the entire comittee(excluding 1) will acknowledge as well.i believe a couple of these posts is a certain individual trying to start some trouble.hes not very good at it..

ive been checking the other site..its so boring, even the crickets are leaving..its a new year with a majority of the right people in place.

lets stay focused on whats important.lets not waste another moment on whether the officer deserves a proclamation until the first meeting.andy, please prove me right.

We can only hope that Cohen changes her mind and decides to run again. I like the idea of a Cohen/Budai campaign.

Anonymous said...

yeah, they should run together on the Cowards Anonymous ticket.

Once again, daStuSquad is at it again trying to divide this town. Andrew isn't the one you should be worrying about. Susan is the one who is dividing the Republican party by doing the bidding of her leader. Ryan Green is in line and doing what he is told. And thanks to fine Americans like Don Holland and Mickelle Roth Manalapan is a great town for people to live in. Stu Brown had nothing to do with what officer curran did and everyone knows it. Stop politicizing everything.

Stu Brown would have hired Stu to sue the owners of the two houses for harassing him with smoke and flames.

i like posting here better than on da hate site, because when you post here and prove that the squad is a self-aggrandizing fool, you see it right at the same place where the squad mades a laughing stock of himself day-in and day-out.

It seems like the self-serving posters from the Manalapan HATE website are here now posting their vile drivel. I hope they're not all collecting unemployment because I for one would not be happy knowing my tax dollars are going to support them.

Anonymous said...

I like how the Squad allows them to post here. It shows just how mindless they really are.

I think that by letting Fred Stone, Larry Roth, Gerry Ward and Steve McEnery post here, datruthsquad allows them to prove how low class they've made Manalapan's government over the past few years. Really. They don't even realize that when they write "Ryan Green is in line and doing what he is told. And thanks to fine Americans like Don Holland and Mickelle Roth Manalapan is a great town for people to live in." people simply laugh at them. They've just admitted (this has to be McEnery, since he's the only one who wouldn't think anything wrong of it) that Ryan is a puppet doing what McEnery tells him to do (by the way, can you just laugh at the same poster bragging about Ryan being in line and criticizing Susan for falsely claim she is being handled like Ryan?) And it says everything you need to know about the poster when he calls Roth a "fine American." Do you think McEnery and Stone collaborated on that posting?

Anonymous said...

was that the puppy dog posting again?

You have to love the HATE website. Everything that's going on in the world, and all they can talk about is their hatred of "the mosked man" and this blog site. Those 3 or 4 people there who post their vile rants really need a hobby.

Anonymous said...

here there's ONE person posting and--with all that's going on in the world--all he talks about is how much he loves himself and is in charge of manalapan and the rest of the universe.

Anonymous said...

ssshhhh. Do you have any idea how much money he is making off of their constantly attacking him? Just think about the cases already reported in the newspaper. They have no idea how he is manipulating them. Why do you think he's done absolutely nothing to stop them?

Anonymous said...

ssshhhh, ssshhhh, stop the self promotion esquire. No one is reading this nonsense except you.

Anonymous said...

umm, because it's a free country and he's heard of the First Amendment?

Anonymous said...

"ssshhhh, ssshhhh, stop the self promotion esquire. No one is reading this nonsense except you."

Really? Apparently you're reading it. Although I doubt the person you keep calling Esquire because of your ignorance is actually reading it. So, congratulations, Fred. That's two big lies in fifteen words. Not a surprise. By the way, get your bathrobe cleaned, will you? It's disgusting.

"Well said, Squad" --famous last words of Squad's puppy dog.

hey, Squad--why don't you jump on the bandwagon of that cabdriver who just returned the $10k he found in the purse left in his cab, and then wouldn't accept a reward! You could then go on a riff about how da Mosked Man has great admiration for heroic cab drivers, never having sued any.

It seems like those folks at the HATE website have nothing better to do with their time. Instead of commenting aboutthis blog, maybe you should go back and read some of what you consider posts about your favorite person Stu. At least here, there's free speech and topics worth reading about. On the HATE website, if an earthquake hit Manalapan, all you'd talk about is how much you hate Moskovitz.

It must be good to be unemployed with nothing to do all day?

To be fair, I think these HATE mongers on KB's HATE website know what they are up against.

The Truth Squad blog is successful, and KB couldn't even sell hers for a penny.

The Truth Squad blog set a legal precedent, at the same time slamming the HATE website backers lawsuit right back in their faces.

The Truth Squad apparently has thousands of readers around the world. The HATE website has 5 authors and probably as many readers.

The Truth Squad blog is a success. The HATE website wouldn't know success if they fell over it in a drunken stupor.

Think about it.
