Is Brain Damage a Prerequisite For Being a Politician?

This is a very serious question - Is Brain Damage a Prerequisite For Being a Politician?

Recently, 2 legislative lawmakers got together and came up with a bipartisan plan to rename Route 23 "Robert Roe Highway" after the former longtime politician and US representative. Sounds great on da surface. So does "da Jeffrey Dahmer Restaurant" or "da Jon Corzine Turnpike."

Let's tell da family of da people Robert Roe ruined forever that naming that highway after him is a good idea. In 1993, Robert Roe was driving a vehicle in Rockaway Township when his car crashed into a minivan. The woman and her 15-year old daughter in da van were seriously injured in that crash. Roe was found to have a blood alcohol level of .17 - well above da legal limit of being intoxicated.

Here's what you also need to know - According to da Bergen Record:

"We got hit at 60 mph. He was on the wrong side of the road," Worosila recalled of the accident on May 2, 1993.

Roe, who left Congress several months before the accident, had a blood alcohol content reading of 0.17 -- well above the threshold for intoxication. He lost his license for six months and paid $426 in fines. He avoided a more serious charge, assault by auto, after being admitted into a pretrial intervention program.

"He got a slap on the wrist," Worosila said.

Roe, now 83, did not return a phone call to his consulting firm in Wayne. Stephen "Skippy" Weinstein, Roe's attorney in the 1993 case, declined comment.

Worosila escaped injury in the accident, but his daughter suffered fractures of the ribs, shoulder blade, tibia and fibula, along with a lacerated spleen that had to be removed. His wife, Julia, broke her pelvis in two places.

Yes, Assembly Minority Leader Alex DeCroce backed da bill, and so did John Wisniewski, and Governor Jon Corzine signed it into law!

What's next - a state-run driving school named for Zulima Farber?

Ironically, da minute da newspaper found da outraged family, all of a sudden DeCroce now admits he knew about Roe's night-on-da-town where he admitted drinking at home and again at a bar before plowing into da family's minivan at what was reported to be 60 mph. He claimed, "he deserved da honor because of his lengthy public service."

Great! Should we name a Turnpike rest stop after Jim McGreevey? After all, he was a public servant and he frequented some of those rest stops.

And who was in charge of da vetting process here? Who were da brain-e-acks in DeCroce's, co-sponsor John Wisniewski's and Corzine's office that missed that small tidbit?

Yes, in New Jersey, we want to name a highway after a person found guilty of DWI who wrecked both a minivan and da family that was in it.

You want to bet MADD is hopping MAD about this?

There are some things that politicians might want to rename - also at taxpayer expense like da new "Robert Roe Highway" signs that cost YOU $2,500.

In Manalapan, you can name da Italian-American Association after Larry Roth, da husband of Mayor Queen Roth who uttered da now-famous phrase, "Because I Hate Italians."

In Newark, da Federal Court Building could be renamed for former Sen. John Lynch, da head of da Lynch mob convicted in that very building of corruption.

DaTruth is, naming a road for someone convicted of DWI is an absolute travesty that must be investigated. Nobody can be that blind, and da fact that 3 prominent politicians and their staffs had no clue -- all at TAXPAYER EXPENSE -- is a slap-in-da-face to da family that was ruined by Robert Roe and da taxpayers who put up with these political shenanigans.

Speaking of shenanigans, did anyone go to da Manalapan Township meeting on Wednesday? Former Mayor George Spodak demanded and received 10-15 minutes to speak about whatever was on da mind of George Spodak, a wish granted by da Queen and her court.

What did Porky say? There will be more to come on that soon.

DaTruth is, politicians - and former wannabees - are costing da state money, but they are also costing YOU money on da municipal level. Take as an example da case that garnered worldwide attention, "Da Township of Manalapan vs. Da Mosked Man." It's a case brought by politicians against a former Township attorney about a piece of land a court ordered da town to buy where tainted soil was found, which somehow became a First Amendment case of mammoth proportions.

Da "Love Canal of Manalapan" will cost da astronomical figure of $15,000 for soil cleanup. However, it will cost at least $50,000 for "engineering" work, and former Mayor, current "Defendant" and alleged Manalapan resident Andy Boy is on record claiming da case against da Mosked Man has already exceeded $100,000 when you add in da legal bills involved by da 4-member Manalapan Legal Dream Team. Da case is still ongoing, and da meter is still running - and YOU are still paying!

And, FYI, there has not been even one story about "Da Township of Manalapan vs. Da Mosked Man" in da local Snoozepaper since a judge threw out da First Amendment challenge brought by da Manalapan Legal Dream Team against daTruthSquad, who da Dream Team claimed in court records was da Mosked Man himself!

We obvoiusly must not only demand more from our politicians, on both da local and state level, but also from da local newspaper folks that claim to cover towns like Manalapan.

DaTruth is, naming a road after a convicted DWI offender is a travesty. It's also another stain on da record of Governor Toll Troll. If we don't demand more from these people, then be prepared to check your wallet for a vacuum hose. It will be siphoning money out as you read this blog, and local newspapers like da Snoozer will continue reporting on cats in trees and new guardrails on Smith Street, but not what matters.

And that's daTruth.

I think it is very unfortunate that Mayor Roth allowed a resident and former official to use the township committee meeting to make unfounded accusations and insinuatons about private residents. Mrs. Roth failed those residents by allowing a former elected official to make a political diatribe part of the meeting. It was stated by former attorney Cassagrande that no official or resident could come to the meeting to attack or accuse private residents. Apparently Roth allowed that last night. So much for her re org speech for keeping decorum and dealing to topics on the agenda. Roth had to know what this man was up to. She had her party boss and club president in the audience. They came for the show. Defamation and falsely accusing someone will likely cause a major scandal.

The fact that Michelle Roth runs an ugly meeting that does not serve the residents should not surprise you. Everyone misunderstood what really happened with the "I hate Italians" incident. It got twisted into an emphasis on Larry Roth. While Larry was pretty stupid for a politician, the real story is that Michelle Roth had made numerous comments trying to link the Italian township committee member with other Italian-Americans who had been arrested or incarcerated. Ignoring the many non-Italian-Americans who had gotten caught up in Operation Bid Rig, she likened him -- and by the way, there was NEVER any reason to believe he EVER did anything illegal -- to the Italian Americans -- a small percentage of the Operation Bid Rig defendants. She never mentioned people like Lynch, Kushner, etc., only Italians. It was for THAT reason that McEnery went to the microphone and asked her why she only mentioned Italian names. He asked her, quite legitimately, "Do you hate Italians?" That was the question Larry Roth mimicked moments later. It must never be forgotten that it was MICHELLE'S anti-Italian comments that set off the fiasco, not her husband's. He only magnified the story. And, given the fact that Michelle makes a living writing press releases justifying the oppression of black people in Africa, it's really not surprising. When you see Michelle coordinate and permit attacks on decent private citizens by her surrogates, remember who she really is.

Oh you can count on the fact that this will all be brought out in October, along with her wasting of $100,000 in taxpayer's money to bring a frivolous lawsuit against a political enemy, and continue the frivolous lawsuit, all through her administration. And you can count on the fact that her press releases will be republished in October. And you can count on the retelling of how she wasted two meetings (at a cost of thousands of dollars just in payments to the professionals sitting there) to make a big stink over $420.00 that was fully explained and approved two years earlier. You're mistaken if you think that the people of Manalapan don't know exactly what a selfish low-life she is, and you're mistaken if you think it won't show up on election day.

Anonymous said...

From NJ.COM --- couldn't have said it better myself:

Between her anti-Italian statements, and her anti-African blood money, and her conspiring with George Spodak to harass her political enemies, and the money wasted week after week on that frivolous lawsuit that everyone but Lucas is apparently smart enough to realize isn't going anywhere, people are going to start wishing that Brittany Spears or Lindsay Lohan replaces Michelle as mayor so we can raise the level of dignity in Manalapan.

Anonymous said...

It's interesting that the above post was removed twice, at least, from NJ.COM at Michelle's request. Let's see now, Michelle spends taxpayers' money to go after daTruthSquad for criticizing the government; she has NJ.COM remove anything that criticizes her, and in the meantime, while stopping everyone from criticizing the government, she uses the township committee meetings to have private citizens attacked. How is THAT for standing the first amendment on its head. I'll bet a lot of people are going to remember all this in November.

Anonymous said...

Attacking private citizens and broadcasting their first and lst names at a public meeting for being "guilty" of attending a public court proceeding where the
1st amendment of the Constitution was being defended is beyond perposterous. Are we witnessing the McCarthy era all over again where individuals are black listed for attending a public court proceeding about the Constitution? Shame on the entire township committee Roth, Gennaro, Klauber, Lucas abd Cohen for allowing this to happen. Why is it that the former mayor thinks that these private citizens have nothing better to do than to post about his presence at the court house proceedings? A man by the way that at least one of these residents does not even know. It baffles the mind that this man thinks that he holds such importance that these residents would have to rush home and post about him. The township of Manalapan failed to protect the privacy of these residents and that is ubacceptable considering that on July 11th, 2007 then township attorney Cassagrande made it known that no resident could come up to the microphone and use the first and last name of a resident and talk about them. Seems that they all had amnesia Wednesday night. Shame on them and they all.

Anonymous said...

I agree. But let's not pull any punches. The man who went to the microphone last Wednesday night taking up the public time with nonsense about people posting about him was George Spodak, the former mayor that was thrown out of office by the people who elected Jim Gray at that time instead. This same person did little of any value for the town when he was in office, taking credit for everything Walsh did, and even taking credit for things like the library that weren't even done until after he was out of office. Then he disappeared for twenty five years and two failed marriages later he shows up, not to volunteer to serve on any committees, not to do anything constructive -- that's never been his style -- but to attack those who DID serve this town and served it well. Like it is.

It seems to me with 2 failed marriages and all of his other problems, maybe the keeper of tainted pork merely wants to see his name in lights again. Maybe he's longing for the day decades ago when his life actually mattered? Maybe he's lonely and attacking others with his drivel makes him feel all warm and cozy.

BTW - I'm posting this here because unlike NJ.com, Roth & Spodak can't have these postings removed.

That's why you can spend all day posting, and deleting other people's posts, and posting again. It's called transference, George. You take your personality and think someone else is like you. Shapiro is the classic case of this. What you don't realize, is that none of the people who went up to the microphone Wednesday to criticize you as being a buffoon was Stu. Stu wasn't there. Stu doesn't care about you or what you do or post, George. Just like many people went up to the microphone, none of which were Stu, many people think you're an idiot and say so online. None of them are Stu, either. Don't you get it? Stu has a career. Stu has a wife and family. Stu has a life. You have none of those. Stu couldn't care less about you. But, like Shapiro, you spend every waking minute obsessing over Stu. Do you realize what a little man that makes you, George? Seriously, since your whole life revolves around Stu, and Stu couldn't care less about you, do you even have a reason to go on living, George?

Just throwing it out there for the general population, you do know who we are talking about, when we refer to the gay guy, right?

You're mistaken if you think that the people of Manalapan don't know exactly what a selfish low-life she is, and you're mistaken if you think it won't show up on election day.

than* the fun starts. Make sure you are ready, I don't like cheap victories.

When all of you are finished reading the above posts, you may have figured out that the same person, Larry Roth, was posting all thirty or forty of them, pretending to argue with himself and accusing the "person" he was arguing with of being George and Stu. Of course, neither George or Stu were likely to be posting. What Larry was doing was distracting everyone from three posts that appeared at the beginning. So that his strategy doesn't work, I've copied them and am posting them here again, because they are important to read, unlike Mr. Roth's arguing with himself above (talk about Sybil!!)

The fact that Michelle Roth runs an ugly meeting that does not serve the residents should not surprise you. Everyone misunderstood what really happened with the "I hate Italians" incident. It got twisted into an emphasis on Larry Roth. Time to go to sleep Stu. You do go to sleep, right? Or do you stay up all night and fight with everyone?

Anonymous said...

Hey, I can stay up all night. Don't you have to be in court tomorrow for the suit that the TOWNSHIP OF MANALAPAN brought aginst you>

LOL. DaTruthSquad asked, Is Brain Damage a Prerequisite For Being a Politician?
I think all your comments gave us all a good answer, George. Oh, by the way, pleeeeeeeeeeease be sure to tell the prosecutor that Stu wrote all these posts. LOL. Definitely too much alcohol passed through what used to be your brain, George. LOL.

Or do you have to continue to pretend that you are defending someone that you almost hate as much as someone else? That makes you a HYPOCRITE, doesn't it? Hmm, you and the word HYPOCRITE mentioned in the same breath, not surprising. So what's next, more hatred and venom? Bring it. I was born to fight people like you.

lol. you're a riot when you're drunk, George. Keep it up. This is going to have everyone rolling on the floor laughing when they wake up tomorrow. As if you're not already the laughing stock of Manalapan. LOL. I love it. You're better than comedy central.

I saw this on NJ.com and realized that someone probably would have this deleted, so I copied it and posted it here for everyone to see since postings here don't mysteriously vanish.

From the NJ.com Manalapan messages:

2615. Axis of Evil
by Amazed101, 2/16/08 10:36 ET
I’ve been giving a lot of thought to this former mayor George Spodak, the senile self appointed Manalapan Muckracker and his unending attacks on Stu Moskovitz. Putting the time line together, Spodak has never had any direct political interaction with Stu while he was in office. So why does he embarrass himself and our township every week trying to discredit Stu? We do know that Spodak is Shapiro’s lackey as he followed him up to the township committee meetings week after week insisting that the township “investigate” alleged over billing by Stu that ultimately may have amounted to a whopping $420. It is well known that that Shapiro and Stu are mortal enemies. Then we have the “Manalapan Hating” reporter AKA the Howell Blogger who refuses to report on the lawsuit involving Shapiro and his father. This lawsuit involves allegations of stealing cash, customers and a business from his aging father all while running for TC and yet the Howell Blogger determined that this lawsuit was not news worthy. Covered Bridge thought it was news worthy and voted his *ss down, that’s right, CB voted down a democrat for the first time in as many years as I can remember in support of a candidate that is “personal friends” with Stu Moskovitz, the attorney who happens to represent Shapiro’s father. So therefore, the only plausible reason for Spodak’s pathetically embarrassing weekly appearances is his support for his friend Shapiro. Meanwhile, the hate consumed Howell Blogger fails to report on this sinister behavior that is going on in town hall meetings. Everyone also knows that The Howell Blogger is bosom buddies with the senile former mayor and is a most biased supporter of Shapiro in everything she has written. So therefore what we have in Manalapan is our very own Axis of Evil, consisting of the mad Howell Blogger, the senile former mayor and the despicable human-being Shapiro who has not shown up in town hall since he was humiliated by his loss in Covered Bridge, That’s right loser. Don’t show your face. You remind me of the other weasel who disappeared after his “I hate Italians “comment. What a bunch of pathetic losers we have in this town! Someone please call Kathy so that she can have this deleted.
